What is Jwh-018? Maybe you’ve heard a bit of local news or maybe you’ve read that they’re sold as incense in your local store. The use of synthetic cannabinoids such as JWH 018 and other synthetic cannabinoid products is increasing rapidly, but the risks of these products are unknown despite their widespread use. Synthetic cannabinoids pose a significant risk to human health and the environment because they are based on THC, the main psychoactive component of the cannabis plant, and not on THC itself. Compared to THC, which is a partial agonist at the CB-1 receptor, J WHH-018 and many synthetic cannabis compounds are full agonists with the potential for serious side effects.
JWH-018 or AM-678 is an analgesic chemical from the naphthoylindole family that acts as a full agonist at both the CB₁ and CB₂ cannabinoid receptors, with some selectivity for CB₂.
